UI/UX Designer 


Aether Studios is looking for a User Interface and Experience Designer to work on a 3D project in Unreal Engine. This role would have the dual responsibilities for designing and implementing the menu flow and layout while also owning the user experience throughout the game including local, online, customization, progression, and economy. Be part of the growing team that created the smash success Rivals of Aether as we build the best platform fighter experience for players. 


Role Responsibilities

  • Design the menu layout and flow for the game and how features interconnect 
  • Work with artists and engineers to create menus using UE5’s Common UI system
  • Design the user experience of players signing on for the first time and playing through the lifetime of the game 
  • Manage the user accounts, progression, and purchases using the Playfab interface
  • Create implementation plans, asset and feature requests, and best practices 
  • Test and gather bugs/feedback for the menus to make further improvements 


Role Requirements

  • Experience creating UI menus in Unreal Engine
  • Portfolio including UI and/or UX work 
  • Experience working on a software development project


Role Preferences

  • Experience with Playfab or other live-service player account tool
  • Interests in the fighting game genre
  • Interests in programming and UI aspects of game development
