Aether Studios is looking for a User Interface Artist to work on a 3D project in Unreal Engine 4. This role would be responsible for creating menu art dictated by the design team, suggesting UI art style and menu flow, and optimizing UI art assets. Be part of the growing team that created the smash success Rivals of Aether as we build the best platform fighter experience for players. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Work with designers, engineers, and artists to create icons, menus, logos and UI widgets 
  • Document best practices and instructions for implementing menu art in the game engine
  • Optimize art pieces to meet platform requirements
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to produce artwork that benefit the team and project 

Role Requirements

  • Experience creating UI artwork
  • Portfolio including UI artwork 
  • Experience working on a software development project
  • Graphic Design and other 2D art skills

Role Preferences

  • Interests in the fighting game genre
  • Interests in UI aspects of game development
  • Experience creating logos and doing branding
  • Experience working with 2D art assets inside a game engine
